Icelandic Hammer, Large, Gold Plated
Reproduction of an Icelandic Thor's Hammer, with a wolf biting onto the chain or cord. The original find is dated to the 900s.
It comes with a layer of 18K gold applied to the steel core through a process called PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) plating. PVD plating is an advanced technique that uses a vacuum coating process to apply a thin layer of gold onto the surface of a base metal. This method produces a gold layer that is significantly more durable and longer-lasting than conventional gold plating. 18K PVD gold-plated jewelry costs a fraction compared to solid gold, making it accessible to a broader audience. It lets you enjoy the elegance of gold without the hefty price tag.
